Welcome to the Reading Village

The Reading Village offers in-person tuition for Preschoolers and Primary aged children, as small-group or individual sessions, across the Sunshine Coast. 

Our private tuition is held onsite at The Reading Village in Nambour or Yandina. We can also arrange tutor sessions in the comfort of your own home, depending on the location. Private Reading tuition is offered to children aged 6 and above.  All tutor sessions are customised to the needs of your child and are created by a bachelor qualified primary-teacher. 

Our small groups currently meet in Buderim, with plans to expand to other locations on the Sunshine Coast.  We have designed two learn to read programs; Resilient Readers and Resilient Readers Step Up! 

The class size can range from 5 to 8 children, allowing our qualified Educators more opportunities for one-to-one support with each child and the flexibility to personalise the sessions to the learning needs of those in the group. The Resilient Readers program is suitable for preschoolers because it focuses on developing important pre-reading skills, phonemic awareness and phonics. The Resilient Readers Step Up! program is designed for Primary School students who need extra support learning to read.  We follow evidence-based methods to teach children how to read, using a systematic and sequential program.
