ABOUT

The Reading Village

Tuition for Homeschoolers and Primary School Students

The Reading Village is an inclusive learning environment for all children. We hope to foster a love for learning and reading with all of our students.
We believe that each child is unique and we celebrate this. Our tuition is customised to the individual learning needs of the student, giving them the freedom to progress at their own pace.
We use an explicit and structured literacy program in our sessions, as evidence-based research demonstrates that this approach benefits all learners.
As an independent provider for NDIS, some of our students can use their NDIS funding for our services that directly relate to Early Childhood Development and Skills Development.

Our School Readiness sessions are currently delivered in Coolum Beach

As the demands of school continue to change, our little people can find the first year of school overwhelming.
Our School Readiness sessions were designed to introduce Kindy children to foundational pre-literacy skills, so that they can focus on the many other transitions in their first year of school, such as; a new learning environment, a new teacher, new schedule and new friends.
By giving children a head start, they can confidently enter BIG school without everything being NEW!
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Kellyanne Cazeau

The Reading Village was founded by degree-qualified primary school teacher, Kellyanne Cazeau, who has over 16 years teaching experience, abroad and in Australia. During this time she has taught a diverse range of students, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and students with learning disabilities.
Today she enjoys going on learning adventures with her son as well as creating meaningful learning experiences for students of The Reading Village. Her passion is to instill a love of learning in every student she teaches by offering creative ways to learn.
As a lifelong learner, she continues to add to her professional knowledge and skills by keeping up to date with evidence-based teaching methods and collaborating regularly with other professionals on the teaching of phonics and reading.
